Show Tour Journal & Publicity
What began as a collection of quick 10 second images while watching the events unfold on TV and in magazines turned into hundreds of images in my sketch books. A few were worthy of developing into more involved compositions and seemed to have an important meaning or thought worth expressing. Starting with one painting completed in summer of 2002 there are now 6 originals in the series and the Commorative painting of the Worcester MA warehouse fire.
September 11 - 2002
Nashua Public Image Gallery, First exhibition of "Walk of Hero's" in a juried show. The painting got much attention and great comments. A fireman and his wife spent some time posing for photo's next to it with their children. This show inspired the start of the series, the concept of a nationwide tour and the publishing of the lithographs.

August 28, 2003
The day is spent as the quest of FF Gary Williams at his station on "Rescue 1".
Gary, myself, and his crew of 5 spend a morning on the road doing station tours and responding to calls for a child locked in a car and a small fire.
The afternoon is spent learning about special equipment and a photo session to develop more specific reference for future works. This is an amazing insight as to what they do behind the scenes, their daily duties and how they respond in seconds to any emergency.
