The Marmonti 9/11 Tribute Art Tour
A Growing N. E. Art tour honoring the 9/11 victims and firefighters everywhere is receiving publicity in all mediums and inspired comments from all ages and exemplifies the bravery and dedication of firefighters and pride in America.
John Paul Marmonti, a Massachusetts Artist emerging on the N. E. coast spends several weeks a year traveling with his inspirational growing collection of paintings that have been described as "Healing, emotional, works of Art" expressing the bravery and dedication of firefighters everywhere. Marmonti was educated at the Art Institute of Boston, Boston University and the Washington School of Art and has painted for over 35 years.
A framed signed print is dedicated to the firehouse or library in the respective city of the show. A portion of proceeds from the 9/11 tour and 100% of the W-6 print profit go to the Worcester Pipe & Drum Brigade.
Most shows are taking place in library galleries that offer a program of exhibitions and public interest topics. The collection has toured to 6 states, 14 solo shows and counting, over 250,000 visitors have viewed the collection.
The largest show with over 40 works on display was in Worcester MA in July 2004 where over 200 people attended the formal opening.
Senior FF. Gary Williams and several members of the Worcester Firefighter pipe and drum brigade marched under a huge flag hung by 2 ladder trucks and performed before marching into the gallery. " Worcester Brothers 6 - On Eagle's Wing's" their Commemorative painting done in honor of the 6 brothers who lost their lives in their warehouse fire in 1999 was draped in the American flag and formerly unveiled to their music along with the 9/11 collection. Music guest Krista Ernewein, a New Orleans native who has sung at the Louisiana Superdome and for our own Boston Red Sox sang God Bless America & closed the show with On Eagles Wings.
