"Worcester Brother's 6 - On Eagles Wings"
Commemorative Painting
The beautiful sounds of the Worcester Pipe and Drum brigade, their huge ceremonial flag unfurled against a blue sky started the July 10, 2004 show and unveiling of their commemorative painting.
Stories from Firefighters who were there and the times spent on rescue 1 with them inspired the image for this work.
Worcester Firefighter's Dedication
With over 200 in attendance this is and will always be the biggest and best show on the USA tour. The painting was 4 months in progress and we have set a goal to raise at least $50,000 by donating the profits of their lithographs offered in 4 sizes.
Other highlights of the show were beautiful renditions of "God Bless America" and "On Eagles Wings" by Classical singer Krista Erenwein, a New Orleans native who has sung at the Louisiana Superdome, recitals, many public and private events and our own Boston Red Sox. St. Louis School in Webster MA had an essay contest called "What is a Hero" and the 6 winners were given the first framed lithograph in the 6 Brothers memory.
It is an honor to be associated with the Worcester Firefighters, it has put a personal side to this work and has inspired many new images of Firefighters and Patriotic work.
